Denial Mondays: No News is Good News

We’ve been trying to soak up the most Vitamin D on our faces and charcoal bbq smells in our shorts. And the least real news.

Because in real news, things are bleak. And we really can’t have shitty feelings interrupting summer fun. So we’ve conveniently strapped on some summer sunglasses-shaped blinders. The world is our oyster. And by oyster we mean the ones we’re going to eat while we’re on vacation. Nothing’s happened. Let’s go tubing! NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

But alas, all good things must come to an end. And as the last bits of summer sun start to fade away, it’s time to get back to reality. Let’s do this together…behind a facade of humor. We’re COPING:

Politics: Michelle Bachmann? More like Miss Shell BOMBmann. She is blowing up, and not in that cool hip hop music kind of way. 

Finance: We’re at the CEILING of our tolerance for all this finance debating and finger-pointing.

Social Norms News: DSK? More like Dirt, Scum, Krap. Amiright?!

JLo and Mark Anthony: We just wanted to bring it up. We don’t have any feelings on it yet, but we are listening to a lot of Gloria Estefan… after her breakup from the Miami Sound Machine.
